Lodge Porter
Salary : £13.54 per hour
Permanent, Full Time 40 hrs p/w
University College is seeking to appoint a Lodge Porter to join their friendly Univ. Lodge Team.
The Lodge is both the information and security hub of the College, supporting students, staff and visitors on a daily basis with a range of services.
The post-holder will be required to contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Lodge, to receive enquiries and to promote a positive, welcoming and professional image of the College, whilst maintaining a secure and safe working environment for all College members.
The ideal candidate will be sociable and outgoing, highly customer focused, with sound communication and team working skills. You will also have good organisational skills and be able to provide excellent customer service.
This is a 40 hours per week post (Monday to Friday) comprising of a 3 shift rotational system (07.00 – 15.00 on week 1, 11.00 – 19.00 on week 2 and 15.00 to 23.00 on week 3, you then revert to week 1 again). Junior Dean
Free single accommodation; Stipend; Free meals
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Dean, to be filled from 1 October 2025 (tbc). The post will be held on the College’s main site on the High Street and the successful applicant will join a team of four other Junior Deans. The Junior Deans assist the Dean in enforcing the regulations of the College. The post is open to students who will be in receipt of funding and have completed at least one year of graduate study, including completion of their Transfer of Status.
These Junior Deanships are fixed-term appointments, which will run until end of course, subject to completion of probationary period. A stipend of £2,731 per annum will be paid, rising to £3,054 in the second year. Single accommodation will be provided free of charge. Lunch and Dinner in College will be free of charge (excluding wine and guest meals) when the kitchens are open. Applicants should consult the further particulars below for full details.

Treasury Assistant- Purchase Ledger
Salary: £27,838 – £31,459 (pro rata)

University College is seeking to recruit a Treasury Assistant -Purchase Ledger to support the day-to-day financial operations of the department.
The Treasury is responsible for all aspects of the college’s financial administration ranging from supplier payments, billing members and dealing with queries from students and fellows to providing financial reporting and analysis, preparing statutory accounts and fulfilling various financial and regulatory compliance functions. The Treasury Assistant will primarily be responsible for the purchase ledger.
You will have a good ‘eye for detail’, be able to work efficiently and be able to deal with suppliers and budget holders in a professional manner, using your strong communication and inter-personal skills
